A Fish Pole Adventure

Friday, we took our daughter's two children for an outing to Silver Lake near Brighton Ski Resort. After watching the people fish off the pier, our grandson announced that he "needed a fish pole".

Lucky him, on Saturday, we picked up the kids again, went to a local sporting goods store and bought a "fish pole". Then we headed back up to Silver Lake for some fishing.

But first we had a picnic lunch in the back of the car.



Quite a bit of time was spent waiting for a fish to bite.

Emily was only interested in the fish pole after a fish was caught and thrown back in. She wanted nothing to do with the actual fish.

Here's the fish that caused Aidan to freak out and Emily to come unglued.

After catching one fish, they were done with the fish pole.

Aidan then announced that now we should go golfing. Maybe next time, buddy.
